Donating to Mission Thrift Store Kitchener

Give your stuff a second life and help transform lives around the world.

At Mission Thrift Store Kitchener, your donations do more than clear space in your home, they help change lives. Every gently-used item you give is resold in our store, and 100% of the net proceeds support Bible-based programs in over 40 countries through our partnership with Bible League Canada.

What We Accept

We gratefully accept gently-used items in clean, working condition at our two locations.

You can donate:

  • Clothing (all ages and seasons)

  • Household goods and home décor

  • Toys, games and puzzles

  • Books, DVDs and media

  • Small appliances (in working order)

Where to Donate

Main Store – General Donations

385 Frederick Street, Kitchener
Accepting: clothing, household items, toys, books, small electronics, and more.

Furniture & Book Store – Furniture Donations

Inside Frederick Street Mall
Please bring furniture donations to the back of the mall at Door 002.

We are currently NOT accepting: dining tables, hutches, or china cabinets.

Donation Hours

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

Please do not leave donations outside the store after hours.

Items We Cannot Accept

Due to space, safety, or legal restrictions, we cannot accept:

  • Food

  • Damaged or broken items

  • Hazardous or flammable materials

  • Automobile parts

  • Large appliances (fridges, washers, dryers, etc.)

  • Microwaves older than 10 years

  • Construction materials

  • Mattresses or box springs

  • Infant items (cribs, car seats, strollers)

  • Swing sets or outdoor play structures

  • Boats or marine vessels

  • Balloon blowing kits

  • Blinds

  • Glow sticks

  • Lawn darts or sharp toys

  • Open packages (e.g., diapers, cosmetics)

  • TVs without power cables

  • Items from smoking environments

  • Items with strong pet odours or excessive pet hair
